Breast Lift

Ideal candidates are those who are bothered by drooping, deflated, or asymmetric breasts, often following pregnancy, breastfeeding, significant weight loss, or the natural ageing process. Candidates should be at a stable weight, be non-smokers (or willing to cease smoking), and have realistic expectations. A mastopexy does not significantly change breast size — if you desire more volume, a simultaneous augmentation may be discussed

Mastopexy is performed under general anaesthesia and takes approximately 2–3 hours. The technique used (periareolar, vertical, or anchor/inverted-T) depends on the degree of ptosis. Excess skin is removed, glandular tissue is reshaped, and the nipple-areola complex is relocated to a higher position. Scarring is inevitable but positioned to be as discreet as possible; scars fade significantly over time

Pre-operative: Cease smoking 4–6 weeks prior. Achieve a stable weight before surgery. Avoid anti-inflammatories and blood thinners. Post-operative: Wear a surgical support bra for 6 weeks. Avoid strenuous activity and heavy lifting for 6 weeks. Scar management (silicone gel or tape) commences once wounds are healed. Full results visible at 6–12 months. Attend all follow-up appointments
